I used to present my lab seminar using Microsoft Power Point and now I wanna write my thesis using Latex. Therefore, I have to copy my equations in Power Point into my Latex file. Fortunately, MathType has Tex translator.
So users see formulas and editors see LaTeX most of the time. Editors can edit visually a formula if they want. Above, we describe the user experience, but what is important to note is that formulas are stored and displayed using MathML.
You can add mathematical expressions and equations as floating objects on a slide. To add an equation, you compose it in the Keynote equation dialog using LaTeX commands or MathML elements, then insert it into your presentation. You can also add equations inline with the text inside text boxes and shapes.
But it has always been much more than that. MathType currently works with over of the most popular applications and websites used by education, web authoring, engineering, and computational systems. MathType Application and Website Compatibility Database see Works With … : We have built an online database of over applications and websites, over of which MathType already works with.
MathType is a software application created by Design Science that allows the creation of mathematical notation for inclusion in desktop and web applications. Additionally, on Windows 7 and later, equations may be drawn using a touch screen or pen or mouse via the math input panel. Equations may also be typeset in Euclid, a modern font like Computer Modern used in TeX, and this is included with the software.
MathType works with Moodle to create equations for your course. Refer to MathType Help for guidance with images. If you have MathType equations in existing documents or presentations and you'd like to use these in a Moodle course, or if you want to create a new equation to use in Moodle, follow these steps.
Creating equations using MathType, puts them into the accessible format MathML that can render directly in web browsers. It describes structure and content of mathematical notation. Using MathML provides the highest level of accessibility to math within digital documents.
