The organization's work spans four categories, including health, social services, housing, and leadership and advocacy. The Center was founded inin part by gay and lesbian rights activist Morris Kight. It was the largest-ever grant by the federal government to an LGBT organization, and the only grant out of six total grants that did not go to a government agency or academic institution.
CenterLink develops strong, sustainable LGBT community centers and builds a thriving center network that creates healthy, vibrant communities. Serving over LGBTQ community centers across the country in 45 states, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia, as well as centers in Canada, China, and Australia, CenterLink assists newly forming community centers and helps strengthen existing LGBT centers, through networking opportunities for center leaders, peer-based technical assistance and training, and a variety of capacity building services. Our efforts are based on the belief that LGBT community centers are primary change agents in the national movement working toward the liberation and empowerment of LGBT people.

The groups are open to young people from Donegal and the North West of Ireland. They currently meet in Ballybofey, Glenties, Letterkenny, and Moville. This group is a great way to meet new people, make new friends and get involved in new, fun activities.

Sub Menu contents. Purpose and History Center on Halsted's Youth Program, originally known as Gay Horizons, was founded in by fewer than ten young people. Since moving into the current Center on Halsted building, we have provided services to more than 2, young people across Chicagoland to help them realize their full potential through our vocational training programs, seminars and leadership development programs. Our Youth Program creates a safe and confidential environment for young people ages 13—24 who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, who are questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity, or who are straight allies LGBTQIA.
